  1. I've used TapeBuddy an number of times and like it. The only thing I might change would be to remove the only moving (and easily lost) part and have one fixed at the lesser mud level. After trying it the other way once, that's the only way I've used it.

    Thanks for you comments. I agree with the amount of mud on the "more mud" end is heavy. I don't use it very often except to coat rolled flat corner bead or coat tape for use on wide gap areas. Some times even the less mud end it a little heavy. If you find this to be the case, simply put one or two layers of duct tape on the top of the insert and this will reduce the amount of mud by that thickness. Make sure you keep enough mud on the tape so that it embed correctly.

    The reason the insert is not molded into the area is the unit stacks or nest for retail shelf space and shipping. It can be lost so make sure you keep in position. By removing the piece it also helps to clean the unit. I am glad TapeBuddy helped you with your project.
